Hey Bees, My Husband (still weird to type/say that) Has been presented with a job opportunity inGlenwood Springs. We’re trying to do some research on the cost of living to see if it would be worth it to move, or if we’d be better off staying where we’re at. If anyone lives in or around the area, I’d really appreciate some info. Such as, How much to expect to pay for rent, utilities, and any other expenses. For reference we have a 2 year old son and we’re considering trying for another soon. So we’d need a 2 or three bedroom house/apartment.
Thanks in advance for your help!

@busybride215: Glenwood Springs is a really eclectic mountain town, you’re about 45 minutes away from Aspen, a short drive from Carbondale…..properties can vary from multi-million dollar estates to your regular run of the mill of houses and apartments. There’s a property management company operating up there, they lease residences, and could probably at least give you an idea of what you’re looking at in the rent department – The Fleisher Company…check out their website….see if that helps.
Gas and food is a little more expensive up in the high country, because it costs more to get it there…the weather can get a little crazy from time to time and there’s the odd wildfire or lightening strike…but Colorado has a certain flavor that most people seem to like.
The best thing about Glenwood Springs…the hot springs of course! Some of the best spas in the world are up there and it all centers around a soak in the natural mineral waters of the springs…
Hope it helps!
