Hello all, I’ve been lurking for a while and receievd my engagement ring about 3 weeks ago! It has a criss-cross design diamond pave diamond shank. It was ordered online and when it arrived, there was already a missing pave diamond. The company said I could send it back and would fix it immediately, but I really don’t want to let it go! They also offered to refund $50 if I want to get it repaired locally. I’m really not sure what to do…does anyone know what it would cost to get a small diamond replaced? The other diamonds are G-H in color, SI. Thanks!

Why don’t you take your ring to a local jewler and get an estimate, then you will know how it compares to the $50 they offered you. Either way you will prob be without your ring for a couple of days, I’m sorry. The same thing happened to me ( I crushed my ring in a door) so fully understand!

jenmarie718: It depends on where you take it. I had two small diamonds replaced (I wanted better clarity) on one of my rings at my jewelers for $100. ai have another ring that needs a stone replacement (3mm diamond) and one jewler quoted me $400 while my jeweler quoted me $90. You just need to “shop” around.
