Just curious what everyone is paying for their Wedding dress.
I just spent $177. And I was feeling pretty excited about the bargin I got until I read about someone on here that paid $20 for theirs.
No you still did REALLY well! It is very uncommon for anyone get theirs for $20, but good for them!
Oh, I spent in the 750-1000 range and got a pretty good deal myself. :) It originally was priced quite a bit higher. That's another factor to keep in mind.
All together with my $$$ alterations, it came to $1500. I thought it was a great deal.
Mine was on sale for $499 +tax. Other dresses I was looking at were $1000+ so I think I did well!
Yeah, I'm in the over $1500 range. I paid $1800 for my gown but I couldn't be happier with it!
The one I liked the most is almost $3000, so I'm going to design one by myself based off of it, and it will be under $1000.
My mom is buying my dress and about $530 minus alterations..
I'm paying £1500 ($2400) for my dress made by a Scottish dress designer based on a Vivienne Westwood design in pure silk.
I bought my dress off the rack and it was on sale for $390 (regular price $1,000). The cost of alterations will be pretty minimal since it's the perfect length. I might just have to have the top taken in a tiny bit.
Mine will be about $50 with shipping and likely won't need any kind of alteration. I'm not doing the big white poofy gown though.
I got mine for a little over $860 with taxes, NOT including alterations yet.
Mine was £1200 inc alterations, which is around $1800 at today's rates. It was a sample, so I saved about $1500 off the normal price. Not exactly a bargain, but I'm happy.
Mines was a steal of a deal. I found it on eBay for $180 plus alteration which is costing me $125. My budget was $500 but the dress I got was valued at $5000. Yes, $5000. I was nervous to buy preown from eBay but in the end, I was VERY pleased.
$1295 not including alterations. But I think the only alternation I need is the dress hemmed.
About $1000 and haven't done alterations yet.
I paid 55USD for both the dress and the shoes.
Thrift stores can be your friend, ladies ;)
Mine will be around $1400! It was around $13k something but I had some minimal alterations (just changing length since it is a corset top). I was pleased with that! That's a hell of a deal though! Maybe I should have gone another route :)
I bought mine pre-owned from a bee on here! I paid only $200! I'm assuming alterations will be a lot (I'm really short), but I haven't gotten an estimate yet. Total I'm thinking no more than $500, which was my budget.
I was really excited to pay less than five hundred bucks for a really pretty gown! I got mine from the J. Crew Collection, and they were having a sale of 30% off anything over $150. Now they normally exclude their wedding collection from this offer, but the weddings collection was a bit newer at that time. I lucked out. :)
Mine was 2240 without alterations, but I shouldn't need many as they threw in hollow to hem (for free) as well as 100 of free alterations. I am hoping I won't need more than 100$ worth.
I'm a little surprised by the poll! I figured the average would be around $500-1000, but it seems like a lot of bees broke the $1500 mark!
Mine was about $550 on sale, down from $750 original, I think. Add in the shoes, veil, slip, and alterations, we're looking at maybe close to $1000.
It is interesting how people's ideas of what's a "good deal" vary, too! We have so many brides on the Bee of different ages and walks of life. Interesting to learn from each other and step in one another's shoes. :)
Mine cost $2800 AUD but I got $600 taken off that price because of a sale they were having. This included my veil aswell.
Mine cost $9 off of EBay for a pre-owned Mon Cheri. With shipping it was about $28. Obviously it's not the norm but I love bargain hunting.
Was 1800 for dress + veil. Probably will only need to alter the length
I did a replica and it came in (incl. petticoat and p&h) at about $230. I couldn't be happier very similar dresses I tried on in the salons here were in the $1800-2200 range... Without petticoats or alterations (which I definitely would have needed)
I made mine and the fabric cost $250, but with accessories and petticoat it's closer to $400.
I paid $850 for mine. It was originally $1250, but I got it at a trunk show at the Pronovias Flagship Store in NYC.
@jumpthegun: I'm with you. I was heartbroken when I found out my original favorite was almost $4,000!!! So I am having one made that is similar with a few changes that I wanted and I couldn't be more excited!!
$1174, and I haven't done alterations yet.
I paid $2000 with tax but after alterations I think it'll be closer to $3000. My ONLY big priced item... the dress cost more than anything else for the wedding for sure.
