@simone_s:  umm totally reasonable! I also think, though, it depends on where your wedding it.  I live in NYC and am having my wedding in the NYC area (north jersey).  It was absolutely impossible for me to find a venue with food and drinks for under 100pp.  (not incl. tax&grat).  I finally, after months of searching and tweaking my expectations and vision, found a place that was 110pp (including tax and gratuity).  haha I’d be thrilled for 62pp!!

I am paying about 5x that per person, so I think it is a great deal!! But you only get to serve one entree and one appetizer choice to all your guests?

Sounds reasonable.  Mine total (my bar service and catering are separate) will be around $64 per person with a 6 hour open bar.  And that’s for a buffet and the cost included in that is the high-end disposable.  So it will be more to upgrade to plates.  Doesn’t include votives either, but does include all of my linens/tables/chairs.

So yeah.  Perfectly reasonable to me.

Does it include salad or anything?  I think mine has two entrees, salad, side, and then a few apps in that price (buffet though).

That is a little high because I am paying $125 pp (plus tax and gratuity) and

my options include the following:

Cocktail Hour (we have two carving stations and 4 appetizer stations and passed hors d’oeuvres)

We also get a First and Second Course

We get 3 options for the entree (one beef, one chicken and one fish)

Dessert (we chose an ice cream bar)

Wedding Cake

White glove service

Valet Parking

Open Bar – top shelf liquor

Coffee Tee

Choice of Linins

Place Cards (we have to fill them out of course)

Maitre D

Bridal Attendant

@jasonkatie2014:  omg me too! I live in Brooklyn, NY and there is no such thing as finding a place under $100. I did find one but it was a really skeevy place and had horrible reviews and the decor is stuck in the 80’s!!! LOL
Where are you having your reception?

@Daizy914:  haha omg yes with the tacky under $100 places! I was always finding really gross golf clubs.  We are having our wedding at Lake Valhalla Club in Montville, NJ.  https://www.lakevalhallaclub.com/

We reallllllly wanted a barn/winery but they had some outrageous fees (like, 10K site fees)!! We also liked Brooklyn Winery as an in-ciy option, but definitely city prices! Where are you having yours?

4 passed hors d-oeuvres (roughly 1 of each kind per person)

Salad and entree with sides

4 hour premium beer/wine bar

Champagne for toasts

Cake

Centerpieces for reception (does not include ceremony or wedding party decor/flowers)

Chefs and serving staff

Bar tenders and setups

Taxes and service fees included
