@pinkandsparkly: Have an amazing time!
I spent 6 weeks in Costa Rica for a biology study abroad course in college.
It is an awesome country and the people are so nice.
This may sound strange, but try the italian food. There are a lot of people from Italy who retire to Costa Rica. Outside of Italy, the best italian food I've ever had was in Costa Rica in a little hut like restaurant on the beach.
I leave for my honeymoon to Africa one week from tomorrow, so I'm on the super excited train too!

@KatNYC2011: FI and I have been to East Africa many times. FI is also a biologist and studied wildlife in Kenya. That is actually how we met in a round about way (I was visiting Kenya for a different reason and recognized the friends I went with on the plane). Where will you be visiting?
I am also honeymooning in Costa Rica in July. There is so much to do that we are having a hard time narrowing it down.
We too plan to go to Costa Rica but are having a hard time narrowing it down. Sounds like so much fun!! Are you going to do any adventure stuff? I want to try the zip line and water rafting. Have fun on your trip!! Please tell us about it when you get back. : )
We didnt plan any trips yet. We're definitely planning on doing ziplining and a lot of hiking, and also a lot of spa-stuff :) Our hotel in Arenal offers excursions, so we'll just book them when we arrive! I'll take lots of pics and post a recap when we get back!
@KatieLu: We are spending 8 days on safari in Tanzania. Going to Arusha, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and other areas of the Serengeti.
Then we are spending 6 days relaxing on the beach in Zanzibar. We'll spend one night in Dar Es Salaam on our way back home.
We originally were looking at a safari in Kenya followed by a beach vacation in Lamu, but after the recent attacks on tourists in Lamu we moved our trip south a bit.
Have fun! We got married on New Year's eve in Boston and then went to CR for 12 days! I'd go back in a second!

We're leaving for Costa Rica one week from today! I can't freaking wait! We're staying in Arenal for 4 nights and Playa Flamingo for 5 nights. Does anyone have any "must-see" or "must-do" suggestions? Would love to hear them!
