So I didn't even know you could order almost ALL your flowers from Costco. And since I am diying my own candels - I wondered if Costco was a good plan? Has anyone used Costco? If so how did they look?

i've never ordered a large amount of flowers from costco, but every time i go in there i admire their flowers. they always have such a large variety of flowers that look great and are such a good deal. $15 for 2 dozen roses! love it!

I think that any live flowers are gorgeous! I never really saw the need to spend tons of money on flowers, when options like costco exist. I haven't ordered from them, but I think it's definitely worth looking in to.

I've never ordered in bulk- but we do buy their flowers they have out on the floor. Very fresh, and very pretty.

This has been covered several times on the boards.

Do a search for "costco flowers" and you'll get loads of hits.

I like the look of Costco flowers, but I always find that they aren't fragrant...

I did flowers for my friend's pre-ceremony pictures from Costco (our flowers were getting delivered to the church, but she wanted pictures with her maids before the wedding).  You can see what they looked like here - http://www.fussellwhiteside.com/wedding/blog/2008/08/this-weeks-style-board-all-about-flowers/

I did no research beforehand about how to put them together so they might not blow you away ... but for what they were needed for it worked great.  The flowers were very fresh and the roses smelled nice (not super fragrant, but a hint of rose).  On the day we bought them, there was a bride there picking up flowers she had pre-ordered and they looked even better than the ones we bought from the available stock.

Now that I have spent some more effort in researching how to do this, I am going to DIY my own wedding flowers, too.  Sadly, there is not a COSTCO near our wedding venue, but I'm totally comfortable picking them up at the grocery stores (because, as marquisemiss said above, any live flowers are gorgeous).

Here's what my first two trials have looked like:

I'm diying for my flowers, too. I went to the dollar store and, for $20, got a bunch of silks for practice since I never arranged bouquets before. I have a Costco near me that I'm going to check out and compare them to this online seller that was recommended to me: http://www.rosesource.com/

We had an AWFUL experience with Costco!  Sent hot pink roses instead of orange for our centerpieces and couldn't replace them!  Then only gave us partial compensation despite costing us an additional $500 in replacement flowers, losing an hour of our reception, and paying the photographer for an hour that they didn't work!  BUYER BEWARE WITH COSTCO!!!!

Ours were from Sam's Club and I was super happy with them. We got 240 gerber daisies for $200. Here's a picture:

I had a good experience with Costco.

You can see photos of the flowers here: http://newportnuptials.blogspot.com/2009/08/flowers-pearls.html http://newportnuptials.blogspot.com/2009/08/delivery-time.html http://newportnuptials.blogspot.com/

I wrote about them in the middle link. Yuo need to order a coupel days in advance if you get roses to allow time for them to open up. We did and they looked gorgeous on the day of the event. People asked where we got them. I think they were really good quality! :)
