We just got married September 12, 2009. We ordered orange roses to make our own centerpieces and received hot pink! Costco could not replace the order, cost us an extra $500 in flowers to replace them, the wedding started an hour late as a direct result, we lost an hour of reception and paid the photographer for an hour to stand around! Costco did nothing to compensate us beyond refunding the roses. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I’m sorry you had such problems.

that seems unusual for costco – they’re nothing but accomodating every time I go in there, or order something, or use their pharmacy. Perhaps keep taking it up with them, not here.

I’m sorry that it was stressful for you, and maybe I’m missing something, but you delayed your wedding because you had the wrong color flowers? That seems a little extreme…? I just feel like I’m missing something.

I’m sorry you had a bad experience with Costco. We used them for my sister’s shower and were really happy with the service and the results.

What I don’t understand is how can they not replace them if they sent you the wrong color? Costco usually had a fantastic return/guarantee policy. What did they try to tell you? So curious!

I agree with Rocktsrgn. Why would you skip part of the wedding because your flowers were the wrong color? I mean I would totally be mad but how come an hour of your reception was missed?

I can’t help but wonder if this is a new twist of the dj’s warning about ipod receptions…

I used Sam’s club flowers and had a great experience.
I ordered a test bunch and they sat in the sun b/c we didn’t get great tracking info. My husband called Sam’s club and they sent us replacement flowers immediately. If they had been my wedding flowers I would have gotten the replacements with plenty of time to spare!

wow, im really sorry this happened to you!

What day did the flowers arrive? Or more accurately, what day were they supposed to arrive?
I think Costco warns you to order your flowers to arrive 2-3 days before you need them so they’ll open. And, probably so it’s a business day.

How could they have come on a Saturday? They only make deliveries Tues through Friday I thought. Plus they always warn you to order a few days ahead so that they have time to refresh and open. Sucks you had such a bad experience.

OP first time on weddingbee is to just slam Costco? seems fishy – why would anyone miss an hour of their wedding because flowers were the wrong color?

Costco is known for their customer service… I can’t believe that they didn’t make sure you were satisfied. That goes against everything their company stands for.
However, it is not their responsibility to pay for your “lost hours” or your photographers time… They refunded you the money because the product wasn’t what you wanted. They don’t owe you anymore than that. Most places would have made you keep those flowers & not refunded you it because it was a special order.

Yea I don’t think this is legit…. adman? Sounds fake to me. And their only posts on here were bashing Costco flowers? Basically the same posts? No profile info? Yea… nice try.
