Has anybody used CostCo or Sam’s Club florist for wedding flowers?
I didn’t even think that this was an option until my best friend said that she considered using them for her wedding… I’ve looked online and didn’t particularly like their “collections” but I went to the store and the customer service lady said that their florist will do custom orders (bouquets/centerpieces).
I’m still a little on the fence because after all… it’s CostCo/Sam’s Club and they’re not exactly known for their flowers. I don’t have a problem using them but I don’t want to use them solely for the reason that they charge wholesale for the flowers, esp if the end product of my wedding flowers don’t look too great!
Recommendations on florists in the Dallas area that will work with low budgets would be awesome, too!

ep.fantastic: I think most vendors will work within your budget, or at least tell you if they can, if you’re upfront with them about what it is from the start. I’m using Garden Gate (https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Garden-Gate/278105516339?sk=info&ref=page_internal) and they’ve been great about working within my budget.

cbgmtx: Awesome! Thanks so much… I have looked into a couple others in the area that I found through the knot- I will def look into Garden Gate.

I had one friend use Sams Club and just got roses and hydrangea, they were really nice. I’m probably going to go with Flower Moxie because I want a variation of flowers…
Hope that helps!

We ordered some of our flowers from Sam’s Club. We are DIY-ing the flowers so we didnt order collections or specific centerpieces just the flwoers we needed to make the arangements.
We ordered for about $420….
200 White roses
The rest of the flowers we ordered were from Fifty Flowers $480 (we went a bit over budget here because of the garden roses originally we were going to skip them and this would have been $300)
180 stems of pink spray roses
5 bunches of seeded eucalyptus
72 cream garden roses
We are spending $900 on flowers and making. It breaks down to less than $10-30 per arangement!
20 small centerpieces
10 large centerpieces
2 arangements for the card and gift table
2 arangements for the seating chart table
flowers for the cake table, bar area, and cafe tables outside.
LOTS OF EXTRA.

I’ve heard great things about Costco. We used Safeway and made the centerpieces ourselves. Turned out great!

beeFANTASTIC: I wouldn’t do Costco personally because I had a bad experience with them when they did my SIL’s wedding. Basically they didn’t order all the flowers she had ordered and so many of them were wilted/dead. It was a mess. I would suggest trying a high end grocery store. I got my bridal portrait bouquet and my toss bouquet from Central Market in Dallas off of Lovers and had a great experience with them. They were much more reasonable than a florist and beautiful! I was wondering to myself why I didn’t do all of my flowers from them!

mtorres: I will put them on my list! Thank you so much for your recommendation!

Footballwife: That is a great price for all of that… and garden roses are beautiful so I would have done what you did and splurged a little bit for them too.
I considered going the DIY route but I’m frankly scared of doing the flowers myself. I can already feel myself getting overwhelmed just picturing me sitting there with a bunch of flowers surrounding me!
I wish I was as brave of you ladies that DIY.
jenilynevette: EEK! I am excited for you to receive your flowers. I hope they come as expected and are beautiful for your day!
kimmo416: That is a shame about your SIL’s wedding… I don’t know what I would do if that was the condition of which my flowers were delivered in! I will look into Central Market- I didn’t even think to look there! Thanks for the tip!

we got our centerpiece flowers and boutts/corsages from costco and they were beautiful. their customer service was really great too. they always got back to us right away if we had any questions and they contacted us a couple times just to double check some details of our order.
