Ok so my sister got married about 2 years ago and was going to buy her bridesmaids necklaces to wear for the wedding. I made a big fuss because our dad is a jeweler and I wanted to wear some nice diamonds for her wedding. I was a big jealous brat at that time so she gave in and bought us headbands to wear instead of necklaces… so I could wear some expensive real stuff.
Now it’s my wedding, and I want to buy/make costume jewelry necklaces for my bridesmaids. I just remembered what I did at her wedding, so I asked her if it would be ok for her to wear costume jewelry. She said “whatever you want, but obviously i prefer bling.”
So now… should I be a wonderful sister and let her wear “bling” like I did to her wedding? Or should I go with my original plan of costume jewelry? Or should I ask her what she prefers to wear in diamonds (earrings, bracelet, necklace) and then buy costume for whatever she least wants in “bling”?
Sorry for the superficial post, but being a jeweler’s daughter, we love opportunities like this to “borrow” gorgeous stuff to wear for the night!
