Soooo, I'm about to start slamming my head into my keyboard. I didn't know you had to have Facebook or Twitter to sign up and I don't use either. I did have a Twitter account but I thought I deleted it, so I went to make a new one so I could sign up and it tells me that my email address is already registered. WHAT THA EFF? So I sign in to my old Twitter account that should have been deleted months ago to link it to Pinterest and it takes me to a screen that says "Oops! We are having some issues talking to Twitter. Please try again later!" GAH! They're making this way more complicated than it has to be.
@MissPumpkinPie: I really wish I could just use that. But when I click on the invite link BoiledPNut sent me it only gives me the option to sign up with Facebook or Twitter, there's not even a place to put in my email address :/

Sign up for facebook, but make a fakebook like I have, (just for friends and family where no one can find me)...and use that...haha! Its worth it...I am totally addicted!!!
That's not cool :-/ I was able to go w/ just my email, but maybe they've changed it? FB is fun though, worth joining just to get to Pinterest. Hahah.
@NDBee: I had Facebook like a year and some change ago but deleted it for personal reasons. I guess I could make a fake one as DollDancer suggested.
Hmm. When I click on apps on my Twitter account, Pinterest comes up, so I think it went through, but there's a problem that's keeping me from actually logging in? IDK. I'll wait and try it again tomorrow and see if the problem is fixed. Thanks for the help, bees! :)
@CarolinaCola: That's what I hate about social plug ins now. I go on a news website and often want to post comments. I noticed that when I do post comments, my job comes up next to my name. I do have it on Facebook, but all my information is private. I'm not sure if it only comes up for me since I can see my own Facebook, but I don't want to take my chances. I have a feeling social plugins are going to take over the world soon.
@MissPumpkinPie: I know, it's so annoying! I feel like they've almost already taken over the world!
I got it to work, guys! Yayyyy! It must have just been a site issue last night.

@CarolinaCola: How did you get it to work without using facebook or twitter? I just got an invite, but email isn't an option, and I don't want to link to my facebook account.

Sooooo yeeeeeahhh, I'm gonna cave and join after resisting for so long. I saw some really awesome wedding stuff posted here today and I want to put it all somewhere together instead of just bookmarks on my browser.
