After going through our RSVPs and meal selections, FI and I realized there will be 10 babies/toddlers and 8 kids at the wedding. 40 minute formal Catholic ceremony. How the eff did we let that happen?
Hopefully the parents will know how to wrangle their kids and we can maintain a sense of humor, because I’m sure there will be tantrums.
Today, I say that I’d rather have my loved ones there, even if they bring annoying kids, than not have them their at all. Plus I love the kids.
We’ll see what I say after the wedding 😉

Every wedding that I have ever been to where children have been present…there has always been at least one fussy baby. That said…there has always been a very responsive parent that quickly whisks that baby out the back and no one thinks twice about it. Keep your positivity and sense of humor!! 🙂

Are the parents of these kids also Catholic? We went to long church weddings all the time as kids, but we’d been raised to know proper church etiquette. I’d give the parents a bit more credit.

@SarahCF: I’ve only been to one where the kids were not allowed.
I remember the mother of the bride took it MOST personally….because it was also the bride’s half brother But, the bride insisted that she wanted her mom’s attention to herself, and no kids at all.
I’ve never heard of that before…….I guess it’s a thing?
