Doubling up your pill the next day doesn’t actually undo missing the day before. If anything, I think it could be worse than just missing one pill because it makes your hormone levels more varied. Personally, I’ve missed as many as 3 pills in one pack (and continuing to have sex) and haven’t gotten pregnant.

That being said, I would bet that you aren’t pregnant. If you are worried, I would wait to have a period before starting your next pack (you can start the pack before the period is over if your cramping gets really bad). Best of luck!

@WoodenShoes:  “Doubling up your pill the next day doesn’t actually undo missing the day before.”

Actually, for every brand of pills I’ve ever been on, it does.  The instructions say that if you miss a pill, take both the next day and you’re still protected.

Missing a pill can always increase your risk for pregnancy. It happens, but it’s not a guarentee that you ovulated because you missed a pill.

If you took the morning after pill also, I would say you’re most likely ok. Just take your pills regularly now. No need to start taking your new pack right away. Allow your period to come.

And if you are pregnant, no worries. Weddings can be re-booked and usually people are very understanding.

I got pregnant a few months earlier than planned, and was due a month after my wedding date. We re-scheduled things for 9 months later and it all worked out fine. We just had an extra member in the wedding party (my DD!)

You probably have nothing to worry about though!

@WoodenShoes:  Actually, you’re supposed to double up on every pill I’ve ever been on.  (Including Yaz, like the OP.)

If it were me, I’d have the period just because I’d need the peace of mind.   You’ve also missed 2 periods already– how many does your doctor allow you to miss?  Even when I wasn’t naturally having periods, my doctor medically induced them every few months.

@anutrina:  I’ve missed pills and never fallen pregnant. There is really no way to know the chances of being pregnant, only time will tell!! Try the Nuva Ring if you have problems remembering. I LOVED it because I am so bad at taking the pills!

I’ve missed the odd pill here and there and never got pregnant (that said we’ve now been actively ttc for and not gotten pregnant either so take my experiencewith a grain of salt).

Id say you’re out of the woods but of you just want to physically see AF for peace of mind take a break from your pill. But if it happened in week 2 you’re probably about ready to take a hpt that would have the answer for you without having a period.

3 weeks before your wedding wouldn’t be all that bad, I’m getting married in October and due in September….exactly 1 month before my wedding. Sure I could’ve postponed but I really wanted both, at the same time? Not exactly, it just happened to work out that way. I’m sure you’ll be fine with whatever you decide.

I would have my period and give myself the peace of mind.
