@nutMeg13:  You might not be far along enough.. Wait five days and test with a FRER 🙂

@nutMeg13:  First Response Early Result pregnancy test. It is a pink dye test and can tell you days before your missed period. It is very accurate. You will want to use it instead of a blue dye test or another brand if at all possible.

@nutMeg13:  I dont know much about pregnancies personally, but my BFF took 5 or 6 at home tests within 2 or 3 weeks and they all came back negative. Her doctor was pretty booked up, and just like you she had a gut instinct that she was pregnant so every couple days she’d take another test. After 3 weeks she finally got a BFN (big fat POSITIVE) and now she has a gorgeous little 3 year old!

If you’re not doing anything to track your cycles, it’s very possible that you could have ovulated later than average and it might still be too early to be picked up on a home test.  I’ve been pregnant once before, and I was very uninformed at the time – figured ovulation always happens two weeks into your cycle, and you should be able to test when you miss your period.  Well, I tested when my period didn’t come, but it was negative.  I still just felt pregnant though.  Low and behold, about a week later, still no period and I tested positive.  I had just ovulated later that cycle.  So, if you don’t get your period in the next few days, test again (with a FRER).  Best is with your first morning urine, as it’s more concentrated.

I would have gotten a negative test if I’d taken it one day earlier than I did (2 days before my missed period).

Wait until the day of your missed period, and take another one!
