bjm1119:  I’m sort of in a same situation as you are.. I was suppose to receive my AF sep21 tested When I was 2 days late but got BFN & tested again 5 days late but still BFN… im not sure when I ovulated but if I did I could of ovulated maybe a little late and it might be to early to tell on a PT or my levels could be low for it not to pick up on a test.. So I’m going in for a blood test soon to Know.. But I did have minor cramps, headaches here and there , stomach felt really gasy & now I just noticed my breast are a lot tender and nipples are getting sensitive. Try waiting it out a few more days and test again!

bjm1119:  I think I’d be hoping I was pregnant if I had that spotting and then bleeding- because there isn’t really another logical explanation.  Sounds to me like you might be pregnant- and it could be implantation bleeding?  I had spotting, then bright red with my first son- which was chalked up to implantaion bleeding.  At the time, I wasn’t trying to get pregnant, and I thought I had a really, really strange period.  It wasn’t until the NEXT “period” was late– that I tested, so about 5 weeks later.  And even THEN- the first test that I took in the evening was SOOOOOO faint.  There was a line- but I had to squint.  I took another one first pee the next morning and it was much darker.

This pregnancy- I took a test in the afternoon about 6 days after I was expecting my period and the line was as dark as could be.  I don’t know if that’s beause pregnancy tests have come along further since six years ago….or I just had more Hcg or what.

You could easily be pregnant and not having a positive test yet!

It’s incredibly common for cycles to be way out of whack when they finally return post partum and particularly so if you’re nursing. You can’t really rule out pregnancy if you’re still waiting for AF but it’s more than likely it’s just your hormones and body messing with you!

bjm1119:  If you’re doubting the positive tests then I’d ask for a blood test as they never fail. In saying that it’s not at all uncommon for your cycle to be out of whack after going off BC.
