I’ve had my eyes on this invite ever since I was helping a bride-friend of mine look for invites as her MoH, but I put it out of my mind since my FI and I decided on an October wedding. However, over the past couple of months, our color scheme has switched around to where we’re now going with a wheat taupe/brown and a purple-ish dusty rose… and I changed my blog to those colors, just for fun. I happened to scroll down and see where I’d posted a screenshot of this invite, and lo and behold, it looked awesome with those colors, and it would go really well with our rustic, country, wheat and mason jars look.
But — is it just too summery? I love it to death, so it’s hard for me to judge objectively. Are people going to look at us like we’re crazy for sending this out for an October wedding?

I don’t think it is too summery, and it is really cute. No one is going to be judging your invitations. Before I started planning, I never paid any attention to them.

I considered that layout for our invitations and used it as the background for our wedding website for awhile. Our wedding is in the fall and I thought that was a perfect layout for a fall wedding. Not too summery at all if you ask me!

Are there fireflies in October where you are at? (I’m in Seattle, no fireflies here so I have no clue). If so, go for it, its a beautiful invite! If not, then I don’t think it would fit the season and I’d find something else if I were you.
