Another post about dramatic wedding day makeup got me thinking. I had always invisioned myself wearing a dark eye on my wedding day, which is not out of the norm for me. I usually wear a dark eye or bright lip, but not both together, and my mom made a comment about making sure i dont look like a clown. I Attached the inspiration pic, and a few from when a mary kay lady did my makeup for how she thought it should be and i really didnt like it. So ladies please be honest and let me know if this is something that i have any chance of pulling off.
Edit: Guess i should mention that i will not be doing my own makeup, and that i am just afraid of going in for my trial in a few weeks with unrealistic expectations

and in natural lighting
**My hair is much lighter now if that makes any difference and i will have much more of a tan too

@mattsgirl813: I actually LOVE the inspiration pic, and think you could definitely pull it off. Do you have a makeup artist lined up for your wedding yet? The trial run you do with her is the perfect opportunity to try out this look, and let her “practice” it.

I love your inspiration picture, and I feel that the trial you already had doesn’t “pop” enough. You should get a trial with your inspiration make-up – that is the best way to know for sure.

the inspiration photo is gorgeous!!! As PP asked, do you have a makeup artist? If not start researching to see if any locals can do that dramatic look. Or check out the MAC counters and see if one of them can pull it off. I am not sure if it is allowed but see if they can do your makeup the day of or if you can return on the day of, might save more money

I think if you toned the inspiration makeup down by about 25% it would be perfect!

@mattsgirl813: those aren’t unrealistic at all! If you look at the inspiration pic, it’s a bright eye with a little bit of smoke, bold liner, and perfect red lips. I’d send her the pic ahead of time so she can check it out. I think you’ll look great!

That is a GORGEOUS inspiration picture–I would definitely give it to the make up artist before the trial!
