I plan on adding billy buttons to my bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets because I love them, I don’t really have a big budget though and was hoping to substitute something for some of the other flower arrangements…I think these might work, what do you think? of course the stems would be at least floral taped and not look like just wire…

I’d have too see them with actual flowers, but I think they might pass! Perhaps a less orange of a yellow, and they’d be perfect!

thanks scissors, when I bought the yarn I was thinking, “thats the color I need” now that I look at pics of real ones, I see I am way too orangey gold, I’ll def have to try them more yellow yarn, and I guess putting them with some real flowers would be a good idea too!

Try searching the actual flower, they are very inexpensive!

i think they are beautiful! and a great re-usable idea! i would just like to say that billy buttons are pretty cheap though, depending on the season. i got 5 stems for $1 at the LA flower mart over the summer!

thanks guys, I guess I’ll have to look at local flower shops/marts, I have just been looking online for them and couldn’t find them for cheaper than a dollar each, I like the look of a bunch of them only so I was thinking the costs would add up, but I’ll def have to look other places, thanks again!

Did you make those out of yarn yourself? That would be a great alternative for someone who was looking for “billy buttons” in an unusual color! I’d love to see how they turn out!
