@Goldilocks1107:My mittelschmerz (ovulation pain) comes from about the same area. In all honestly I would not trust using just an online ovulation calendar to pinpoint your ovulation date. I would invest in some OPK's or a BBT to better pinpoint your O date and determine your Luteal Phase.
If you have the average Luteal Phase of 14 days, and you typically have 29 day cycles you would ovulate around today (CD15).
As far as the EWCM, Some women don't get it at all, or some dont notice it. I have not gotten it every cycle and I know I ovulated. EWCM does not have to be present to indicate ovulation.
In my experience, the best way to know if Ovulation is approaching or has happened is to use several methods of detection. CM/CP checks, OPKs and BBT will give you a better picture.
Best of luck and baby dust (sorry for the novel)
I wholeheartedly agree with everything panterapeach: said. But I would also add that I definitely feel my O pain every month, starting 1-2 days before O. However, during the TWW I get TONS of these pains, and so far they have meant nothing. :o( If you want to start charting, you will be better able to tie pains and twinges to O. Also, if you are having trouble detecting EWCM, check right after a BM - that is when you are mostly like to have CM.
Thanks ladies! I'm finding I'm more in tune to things I've probably ignored for years.
@Goldilocks1107: YES, isn't it funny how all these things happened without us paying much attention to for so long and now we're TTC we are so tuned in.
@Goldilocks1107: & @panterapeach: Completely! Except when "being more in tune" = "making up a bunch of phantom symtoms during the TWW." Or is that just me? :o)
@septcabride: Yeah, I'm not looking forward to the TWW part - I'm pretty sure I'll have all sorts of psychosomatic symptoms! I had a TWW 2-3 months ago and was so convinced I was pregnant and when I got the BFN (3 times), I was super bummed.
My first month really trying I was *convinced* I was pregnant. I even told my mom (my husband was out of the country), who laughed in my face. :o) I was pretty bummed, but figured, hey, who gets KU their first month trying? Now I am in the TWW of month 2, and getting myself all geared up again. It's insanity, I tell you. My husband is traveling again next week, so I made myself promise that I wouldn't test until the day he gets home - I may even make him hide my tests before he leaves.
My upcoming work schedule is in my favor - the week AF is due, I have that Friday off. So I can just sit at home, POAS and wait to see what happens. If it's a BFP, I can run around and be all sorts of excited and not bother anyone. If it's a BFN, I'll be able to have a nice cry, go to the gym and also not bother anyone.
I'm wondering if I was wrong about those O cramps. I totally had them yesterday and again this morning. Chalk this up to having no idea what my body actually does on a monthly basis?
@Goldilocks1107:my body gets them too and I could swear its implantation and it ends up being nothing. I honestly think my body likes playing tricks on me.
I think I'll blame it on the sweets I ate this weekend - it gave my ovaries a sugar high

I have some localized cramping pain that's right in line with my left hip bone (approx. where I'd think an ovary would be hiding). I'm on CD 15 and have been averaging a 27-29 day cycle. The trusty ovulation calculator I found via Google said ovulation shoudl occur around Monday-Saturday this week.
This is the first month I've been paying really close attention (since we're actually TTC now) and my CM checks haven't come up egg whites yet, so I"m just trying to figure out if these cramps are my bodies way if signaling that the big O is almost here.
