I went this weekend to my fourth bridal salon.. I went to David’s Bridal.. we didn’t have the best experience I’d say.. but I did leave with this dress on my mind. Originally I thought I wanted empire waiste with a full skirt.. but something about this just keeps lingering in my head, so much I’m going back next week to show my sister.. any opinions? Does it look to summer-y for an April wedding? For some reason the cut-out back makes me think of summer…
excuse the bra strap

I’ve seen this one before and always thought it was a pretty dress with a simple silhouette and interesting details. It’s definitely not my favorite dress of all time, but it looks well on you.

It looks nice….idk if you wanted sparkle or not but you could always add a blingy sash that they have looks like it could tie in the back without affecting the cut-outs…I don’t think it looks too summery I think it could work for an april wedding….How did you feel with it on?? Like omg I really LOVE it!? OR Its ok not the worst thing I’ve tried on.? You have a lot of time to find a dress if this one is just OK then I’d keep looking till you find an ‘OMG I love it and I don’t want to try anything else on’ dress!

I don’t think its too summery. However, I’m not a big fan of that kind of cut out, it reminds me of prom dresses. Just my personal taste. I like the neckline though!

I’m not a fan of this dress. It does look nice on you but it doesnt take my breath away

I absolutely love the front of the dress. For my personal taste, I don’t like the cut out design in the back….If it didn’t have that–I would say go for it.

I tried this one on too- LOVED the front, but was really not a fan of the back- at least not for me.
It really just depends on how you feel in it. I found a few others with similar style fronts, the dress I bought has a very similar feel, but is more plain- so i just jazzed it up with a sash and flower.

You are a beautiful woman with a beautiful figure and I think you could do much better. The dress is very pretty, no doubt, but it doesn’t do as much for your body as it should. I vote to keep looking 🙂

I think you should find something that is more flattering to you and your body,

The back and material definitely feel summery.

Yeah, I think it’s pretty, but I don’t feel like I’m wow-ed just yet. I would keep looking!

I agree with the PPs, although I know I’ve seen someone else with that dress who had some alterations that made it look less-prommy. I think she added a beaded belt or something as well. I’m not sure how to find that post though. . .

I like the front but the back is a little young almost prom dress looking.

I agree with the other posters…I like the front but I don’t like the back…and if you aren’t 100% sure then this isn’t the dress for you!

I think you all are right.. about the back looking young. When the *mean* consultant first put it on me, my initial reaction was “Is the back a little to skanky looking for a wedding dress?” She kinda snapped back at me, “Why would it be skanky?!” If you look at every prom dress it has back cut-outs.. and to me I think it’s skanky. I love the front tho, the simplicity and how it fits.. Why does this have to be so hard?! lol Arghh…
