DH and I are officially moved and the apartment is in order. I’m 2 weeks into being unemployed since leaving my job for the move and already itching for a new job. I’ve applied to many openings but haven’t heard anything positive. One recruiter told me all the work I’ve done has been administrative which really hurt because I don’t agree. I was also asked at one point about why I hadn’t been promoted ever and I don’t know how to field that when the opportunity never existed.
I’d like to get some help with rewriting my resume. At this point, I feel tunnel visioned the way it is and don’t know what the new practices are.
If any bees have some time and expertise with this stuff, I could really use your help! Thanks!!

Add colour. Make sure you’re adding specific things on how you made the company better/grow/succeed.
Something such as Increased sales by 22% by implementing (insert strategy here) . Or for example. Found weaknesses in billing system and took initiative to fix and implement new system to decrease weaknesses.

And white lies never hurt anyone…I was laid off almost exactly to the date of being at a company for 6 months. I added in parentheses that it was a contract position, even though technically it wasn’t.
*I know people will tell me not to lie on a resume at all but so far, I’ve had great success with my resume! and it’s all about how you spin things.
