It’s my first post ever as I just registered. – Although, I have been reading many of the posts here.
I have a question and I hope someone could help me on this.
I am thinking about doing DIY flower, however, I just don’t know where to store them overnight. My wedding is in late July in Toronto, so it will be very hot outside.
My budget is limited and I would like to save as much as possible, and hopefully the flowers will help me on this, but I don’t want to hold a bouquet that’s all dying and wilting. So, for those who did DIY flowers, or planning on doing it, where did you store them after taking them beautifully??
Thank you for reading!

I wonder if you could put them in a cooler full of ice to keep them cold?

I arranged all my own flowers at our beach home in hot July weather. The fiftyflowers.com directions were to keep them in a cool air conditioned room but away from air vents and sunlight. They turned out great. If you have any more questions about arranging your own flowers I would happy to help. I thought it was fairly easy.

I am ordering from fiftyflowers.com also and everyone says you can keep them in a cool room. Do not put them in the fridge that you have food in though. It will kill the flowers.

Just to throw it out there, have you thought about doing fake flowers? If you don’t have too many arrangements to worry about, go to Michaels or a place where they have nice looking flowers and make your own 🙂 …I’m doing it and it’s gonna save me a bunch of money!

Thank you everyone.
As I live in an apartment, I don’t have a cold room. Well, none of my relatives/future-relatives have one either as most of them don’t live around the area. However, I might be able to do A/C. =) I will look into it.
I am not a huge fan of fake flowers (or just flowers in general), but my mom is. So she might end up doing something with silk flowers. I am thinking of center pieces and floral arrangement for church/reception, we’ll do silk flowers. I’ve went to Michaels this weekend and pretty much everything they’ve got there is very Christmas! LOL!
BTW, Firefighter Bride, isn’t the silk flowers as expensive, except they do last long?
