I was worried when I saw the title, so it was great to hear that your LO is so feisty!
We had a scare last week, so it worried me when we couldn't hear it because I had no clue what the noises that the "kicks" were so I just thought they were having trouble finding the HB. Then she told me what was going on and I was completely reassured, smiling, the whole nine yards.
Oh my gosh, you scared me! : D
Glad to hear your little one's doing okay.
Hee, Hee, I was worried too, but I loved it when I opened up your message. -Perhaps you have a little girl? -Mine decided to make me wait 3 weeks past my due date. lol
I agree, I think you have a little girl.
Ours did this twice though she always settled down, once was right after the glucose test and she was just thrashing about but eventually there was enough space between kicks for her to get a read. The next time the doctor was feeling my stomach trying to see if she was head down, When he went to listen to her heart she was kicking like crazy, he's like I think I pissed off your baby.
Phew, glad this was a happy thread (now that the title is different I could breathe a sigh of relief)! She sounds feisty!! *not sure why I've decided it's a girl :-) * Future Mia Hamm you've got there!
Haha my son used to do that all the time. I dont think they like when stuff is on them. They are already cramped as it is... Super funny to watch tho. I loved when he made my whole belly move and you could really see it :) congrats on your pregnancy by the way!!
Lol, that's so cute! Addie used to do this all the time. :) Have you heard hiccups, yet? That's really fun, too.
That's really cute!
We both have stubborn babies! :-) When I went in for the 12 week scan to look at the back of the neck...the baby just refused to move and get into the right position. The lady kept pushing on my belly...but that baby was stubborn and did NOT want to cooperate! haha!
I think your doctor needs to invest in one that only needs a few seconds and will calculate the HB and display it :) That's what my OB has and it makes things so much easier. I love that I can leave with a definite answer. Too bad they didn't just make all dopplers that way to begin with!
@Miss Lily: I've never heard of those! I don't care what the actual HR is (when we did hear the HR it sounded like it was in the 150's) I just care that it's there. But those ones sound really neat. Thanks!

Because it kept kicking the damn doppler! Every time the physician would find the baby and start counting it would kick the doppler and move. Finally, after about five minutes she gave up and said, "Well, a baby as active as that HAS to have a heartbeat!" :) Baby's got my side of the stubborn genes that's for sure!
