We are leaving for Couples Tower Isle on Monday until the following Thursday so I will let you know when we get back!!

My parents and Aunt & Uncle are all frequent travelers that have been to A LOT of resorts and this was the only one they reallyyy recommended for the honeymoon.

The cool thing about Couples is that the excursions are actually included in the price. My brother & his wife went on a two week honeymoon to Sandals Saint Lucia and it was gorgeous btu they got bored because they didn’t want to spend a lot of money on the excursions.

I’ll get back to you! Feel free to message me if I forget!

We went to Swept Away. I cant comment on the night club because we didnt ever go, but they did have some reall awesome shows at the Palms restaraunt at dinner.

A lot of the beach activites are included – unlimited snorkeling, sailing, wind surfing, paddle boarding, etc. Also one free diving session (make sure you can pass the swim test). There was also the entire sports complex that was included – tennis, squash, exercise room, couples massage class, amazing smoothies at the bar there…. half-olympic pool… MY absolute FAVORITE thing at the resort was the “Romantic Bonfire” they had on wed nights… this gigantic bonfire with a super chilled out reggae dude sining love songs with an acoustic guitar… <3 so special.

Also they included green fees for a nice golf course (i learned to golf XD), There were also plenty of available excursions. Dunn River falls was a little far away and as such it was too expensive for us to be able to go. If you are a returning customer though you can switch between resorts I think (something like that) so we might do something like that next time.

The cheap-ish things we did: excursion to Rick’s Cafe (famous bar apparently), shopping trip to some strip-mall thing, and we also went horse-back riding…. take bug-spray.

Oh, also the food was AMAZING!!!!!!!

The pp mentioned that the excursions were included… there are no actual excursions included… lots of things are included, yes… but no actual off-site things (except the green-fees for the golf course, but you still need to rent clubs, buy ball, and pay the caddy).

Sorry, I didn’t realize that different things were included at the different resorts. The Dunns River Falls and other off-site excursions are included at Couples Tower Isle. Not sure about the other resorts.

We were at couples san souchi in October,  it was awesome!  We did the duns river which is included there and was fun. Its not far from zipline and bobsleding which was fun too. From what I heard from repeaters san souchi is more laid back, less to do after midnight. We loved it there,  met great people,  ate fantastic food and did lots of fun stuff! We want to go back every year! We heard a few people came from tower isle for the day and were trying to switch to our resort after spending the day there. If you do go ask the tour desk to send you to the blue hole, its a great cliff jumping waterfall climbing experience!  We had so much fun we went twice!

We are Couple repeaters for life I think!

We went to Tower Isle for our honeymoon in August and it was amazing! We met lots of people who were repeaters and many had been to a few of the couples and said Tower Isle was their fav. It has an amazing private beach that isn’t shared with any other resorts and noone is allowed to walk up and down selling stuff. We did a bunch of the excusions and we were upgraded to the nicer rooms for free as it was the low season. The food and service was incredibe. PM me if you have any specific questions!

Trip Advisor has a lot of reviews on the Couple Resorts. We decided we will do our honeymoon at Couples Negril in June 2014.

we always go to couples negril.   There are plenty of excursions from any of the couples resorts.  I actually find there are better ones in negril then in Ochos Rios side.

couples negril is on bloody bay, which is the smaller section of seven mile beach.  The bay is calm and the beach is amazing.   There are less vendors on bloody bay due to that.    Couples negril is smaller and more compact then swept away.   The main hub at couples negril is the pool.    It has the best pool atmosphere for socializing and meeting people.

if you go into my profile you can check out all my posts on couples.

also, the message board on the couples website is extremely helpful As well as the Jamaica forum on trip advisor.

You can pm me if you have any questions.  I also have a ton of tips and info on excursions in that area.

@weatherbug:  Try Breakas Beach Resort in Vanuatu! I don’t know if it’s a couples-only resort, but we stayed there and didn’t see any kids around – and if there were any around, we didn’t notice!

We spent most of it lazing around on the beach (we’re usually pretty active holidayers, so this was different for us – but it was awesome). We had options to go snorkelling, canoeing, kayaking, trekking…. but also had the swimming pool (with a swim-up bar!) and the town which is a 5 minute bus ride away and was great to explore.

So much, and also so little to do – it’s all up to you. We had a great time there!

We went to Tower Isle in March (and before in March 2012 as well) and we loved it!  The service is great and the free excursions they include really are amazing.  I also liked that you CAN’T tip (though we did leave little gifts for housekeeping-school supplies last trip) unlike in Mexico where it is expected.  The glass bottom boat tour is really fun (though gets cancelled easily as it is dependent upon the weather-if it is too windy/rough you wouldn’t be able to see the bottom anyway).  We enjoyed the catamaran (booze) cruise a lot too.  The rum punch packs a kick!  And they stop off at a nice part of the ocean so you can jump in and have a swim.  I actually was surprised how much I enjoyed the walk up Dunn’s River Falls.  Although, the second time we went, there was a cruise ship docked so it wasn’t nearly as enjoyable (too many people IMHO).  We also went golfing our first year as well, but while we enjoyed it the out of pocket costs (rentals, etc.) just weren’t worth it for us to do again. The food was great and all the people are very friendly.  We didn’t meet too many people when we were there but that’s also most likely because we traveled with 2 other couples both times to begin with.  I know they did have night time activities at Towerl Isle, but to be honest we were usually out after dinner and a long day in the sun!  Let me know if you have any specific questions about Tower Isle!!

Can’t speak about Swept Away though, as I haven’t been.

We loooved Swept Away! We never hit the nightclub, though, because we were always totally beat by 10 pm. (We usually woke up early to get beach chairs under a palapa and spent most of the day in the sun with cocktails… so after dinner, we were just exhausted.) But yeah, it’s awesome. Gorgeous beach, great staff, delicious food… we loved every minute!
