@peachbaby4008:  I’m thinking Saturday would be good, or a Sunday brunch type thing would also work!  What about simple finger foods and mimosas?

We are doing Sunday brunch with mimosas and sangria . I love brunch, so we decided to go down that route

I generally see bridal/couples showers as daytime events, so either day should work.

In terms of food/drinks, it really depends on what you’re doing. One of my friends had hers at a dessert restaurant and it was a light lunch, wine/champagne, and of course, dessert. Another one of my friends did it at home, so it was more like a cocktail hour type food/snacks. Nothing that required a fork and knife. For drinks we had prosecco, wine, and some non-alcoholic options.

I think a Sat or Sun is fine. Usually showers are held in the early after noon, 12-3 or 1-4. And for food, maybe you can do a bunch of finger foods, salad (pasta salad, fruit salad), and maybe a tray of pasta and a meat to go with it.

I am assuming you are hosting this in your house?

I had a housewarming party and for food we ordered two 3ft heros, a tray of chicken parm, macaroni and potato salad (but this came with the 3ft heros), then we also had some finger foods, (bagel bites we bought from Costco, mozz sticks), we also had chips and dip. And for dessert I made cupcakes.
