I’m just a little bit excited, ladies!! I’ve been couponing for a couple of months now (mainly just toiletry and household items..I’ve just dabbled in the actual grocery sector), but I just made an awesome trip to CVS! I got all of this pretty much for free!! Yeah, I’m a dork!

I watched extreme couponing and while it’s amazing what these people do, I could never use half the crap they buy. I liked the guy who donated his large purchases though – that was nice!
I think it’s awesome though when you get stuff you want for awesome prices, so GO YOU!

That’s awesome. I’ll look out for some in magazines or flyers with stuff I’ll actually use and buy it at target where they are cheaper anyways for more savings. Great job!!

I didn’t use to use coupons and don’t need to financially, but have started using them to get free (or almost free ) items. I collect these for our local women’s shelter.
My last haul.

@julies1949: Wow!! How much you suppose you spent for all of that?
I’m using more coupons now because I’ll be commuting 65 miles ONE WAY to work and gas is insane. 🙁

I only paid tax for those items. In my area most stores won’t credit you with a coupon that is more than the value of the price of the item, so they just lower it to the price of the item. You do have to pay tax on the original price. Some stores will give you full credit for the coupon if you are buying other items.
We also don’t have double coupon days etc like the US. Except a wekk or so ago, Rexall( a drug store) had their first ever double coupon day. That’s where I got all this stuff.
We also have one drug store chain- London Drugs- that lets you use any number of coupons on the same item as long as the coupons have different UPC codes.

I coupon! I use southernsavers.com to find deals at grocery stores and then I print out any corresponding manufacturer coupons. When something I eat/use consistently goes on sale, I stock up so I don’t have to buy it again until it goes on sale again. I think couponing is smart no matter what your financial situation is. Saving money is always a good thing!

I’m the same. I don’t financially NEED to coupon but you can’t beat that good beating-the-system discount buzz you get from it! My Fiance is always making fun of me because I get so sadly excited for a good deal!

I can’t be bothered. but I do use them if it’s a really big discount. like, whenever I get a 20% off coupon for bed bath and beyond, I’ll use it to buy something expensive. it’s worth the trouble for that!
one time, I bought a fancy down pillow, and when I got to the register I was like, “damn, I got a coupon in the mail and I left it at home!” (which was actually the truth, btw). they gave me the discount anyway!

I use coupons at michaels and other craft stores, and when I buy something online I try and find a promo code, but I dont go crazy about it or buy more than I need of something

I used to coupon a lot for groceries, but it got harder for me to get the coupons and I got lazy about keeping track of it all. Now I coupon with restaurants and other shopping all the time. My friends apparently know me all too well and got me this shirt for Christmas.
