Hey ladies,

I'm planning to do a civil ceremony and have been sussing out venues in the OC / LA area. So far, the Old Orange County Courthouse in Santa Ana looks the best for pictures (at least the exterior!), but I'm wondering if anyone else has suggestions?

Some things I'm considering:

- The look of the venue -- Hopefully not a clinical-looking office!
- The service / waiting time

Anyone has any experiences to share, or even links where I can see some photos of civil ceremonies done there? Googling has brought up pretty lean results so far

P/S: I SO wish we could do this in San Francisco's gorgeous city hall! *le sigh*

In OC, your best bet is the courthouse in Santa Ana. It's gorgeous! We're actually doing a civil ceremony this week at Laguna Hills location, but only because of its vicinity to our home. Congratulations!

Our civil ceremony was off of El Toro in Laguna Hills. The room itself was small, but it had this pretty fountain sculpture inside. Also, the exterior grounds were nice. Very California with the palm trees.

i've seen pictures of ceremonies at Laguna Hills and the Spanish architecture is really pretty.
