So the glitters on my shoes keep coming off and sometime they get caught on the dress. My seamstress recommended I coat my shoes with cleat nail polish to fix the problem, has anyone done this before? My shoes are shown below

PonkiHoneyBee: I’ve done this before with jewellery but not with shoes. I’m sure it would work but it would probably take ages and require a lot of nail polish haha I’d be tempted to contact Kate Spade and ask if the know of a product specifically for that type of thing, someone may have come up with something that’s easier to apply but has the same effect!

Have you tried hair spray? I bought a pair of glitter shoes and the sales person said to spray them to help keep the glitter on

Nail polish would take forever!
I would recommend buying clear coat in the spray paint aisle (be sure to get gloss finish).

I’d suggest Mod Podge.

Aren’t those $325 shoes? If I were you, I’d buy some cheap ones (secondhand, or I’ve seen them at walmart) and do a test run with mod podge or something. But I would NOT go mucking around doing tests on $325 shoes.
