I had a similair problem at work. I ended up inviting her b/c I had to weigh out whether I would be more miserable w/ her there or having to get a guilt trip from her later since she was pretty sure we were great friends. I think you should follow you gut on this one. If you really don't want her there and she directly asks you maybe just tell her that you wish everyone could come but that your venue only allows so many people. just be polite and answer her questions as they come but do not, on your own, discuss details about the wedding in front of her.

So I'm 9 months out before the wedding and I've made STD postcards. I was hesitant about handing them out at work, since I was afraid that people might leave them lying around and then other people that didn't get them would see them. Especially since there are some coworkers that are still on the 'maybe' list.
Anyway, I gave out one card to my closest friend at work. And within a day, someone saw it and has already approached me with, "I saw your Save the Date!!!". And well, this is one person that I know I'm not inviting to the wedding. She is a nice person, but she is very nosy and very judgemental, and I really don't work directly with her. Everytime I see her she asks me about my wedding plans.
I really think she is fishing for an invite. I know she'll get the point when she doesn't get an invite. But how do I deal with her meanwhile? So far, I've either changed the subject quickly or just answered her question.
