ChellFish22:  I’m really not sure. I thought I saw something in the first pic, but I don’t see it in the other pics…sorry, no help. I’m sure the jeweler will be able to tell.

ChellFish22:  Oh no!! I can see what you’re talking about in the pictures. From the last picture, it looks like the lines are even visible from the top of your ring. I hope it turns out to be nothing, but I can totally understand the feeling of concern / worry. I dropped my original ERing on a tabletop a few days ago, and now I swear I see a crack in the stone. It wasn’t even a very far drop, but I keep looking at the stone and thinking, “Was that line ALWAYS there?” Ugh. Worst feeling.

This might sound silly, but is it possible that something got into the basket under your stone? Maybe it is reflecting through the stone or something …

Yes she found it…she made a thread about it a while back.

Oh no! It looks like a crack. I’d go to a jeweler and have it looked at through the gem scope.

Oh no!! I hope its just an inclusion..thats by Neil Lane right?..If it is a crack I hope kay jewelers give you a new diamond. But first go to a independent jeweler to find out for sure so that way you have proof. Goodluck!

It looks like a crack, Do you think it happened when it was resized?

If you have warranty it will likely cover a cracked diamond. I know mine does anyway.

ChellFish22:  Your ring was lost for a while and you found it in the cat’s litter box right?  Maybe something got caught in the basket?

ChellFish22:  that really does look like a crack. Poop. I still hope the jeweler says it’s dirt or something. *fingers crossed*

I see what you are talking about.  Diamonds are very hard.  Seems unlikely you would have cracked it.  Did it come with paperwork?  I’d take it to an independent gemologist and and have it compared to the paperwork.  Also, did you have it resized at Kaye?  If you took it somethwere else, is it possible your stone was exchanged for a lesser quality one?  IDK.
