I tested positive on Monday. I have been experiencing quick sharp but tolerable cramps on and off since then. I am currently on vacation in las Vegas so I came into about a 30 degree difference and my husband and I have been walking a lot daily. I don't think the cramping is severe since I am still enjoying my vacation. I have not bleed, do not feel nausea just very tender breast. The cramps are basically just uncomfertable. I don't feel them as often after a period of rest. They come and go a lot during the day and last about 3 to 5 seconds. Has anyone experienced this?

@JustlikeHeaven: I'm 4 weeks 6 days and I have sharp cramps off and on all day. I'm pretty sure it's completely normal.

@JustlikeHeaven: I'm four weeks too and had some cramping this week. I've read that it's normal. There is a lot going on in your uterus right now! As long as you aren't spotting/bleeding you should be ok. Congrats on your pregnancy!

It's just cramps from your lady parts stretching out to accomodate the growing baby. Totally normal. I had a lot of it from week 4 to 6, it's tapered off a little now, but I'm sure it's not done.

Thank you ladies sooo much I feel a little less worried now. I am trying to drink as much water as possible. I also haven't been able to eat fruits which i greatly miss. It is really hard to find healthy options in Vegas! If the cramps persist till we go back home this Sunday I will go to urgent care to be extra safe anyways. Please keep your comments coming. Especially if you are on the same boat or have been.

I did this, I might have even posted a similar anxious thread about it.  I had it on an off for all of my 4th week and part of my 5th.  Never strong or painful, just uncomfortable.  Totally and completely normal, my OBGYN said not to worry unless they were severe enough that I felt like I wanted to take a Tylenol, or there was bleeding.

Yep! I had severe cramps around 4 weeks, when I should have started my period. I still get cramps now and then. my OB said it is normal. The uterus is a muscle that is growing to fit the baby and it wants you to know it's there.

Never been pregnant but my bff was about 6 weeks when she had cramping so bad it sent her to the ER - no spotting, just pain. The OB told her the same thing, uterus growing to accomodate the baby.

I had the same problem from week 4 through week 6, try not to worry to much about it.  Drink plenty of water and rest when you can.  Congrats on your pregnancy!

I had prob the worst cramps of my life week 4 and 5. I will be 9 weeks and Monday and I only get them from time to time if that. I know how you feel though. It worried me too no matter how much I read that it was normal. Your body is just beginning to go through so many changes so its preparing for that little fetus :)

Yes! Don't worry too much. I was cramping from 4-6 weeks. It subsided for me during week 7 and now I'm in week 8 and haven't had any cramping yet.

I was definitely cramping as well from weeks 4 thru 6.  I was anticipating them and sort of expected it to feel like period cramps.  Instead it felt like my entire lower abdomen was cramping.  I'm in week 7 now and the cramping has subsided (only to be replaced by nausea, le sigh).
