yikes thats scary...mine fell out the day after my wedding! Luckily I was in my closet and heard the clink, but thats the wrost feeling. Im sorry you wont be wearing it =o( but at least you have a stunt double and you know it was loose before something awful happened!
Better to keep your ring/diamond safe at home! Hope you're enjoying the holidays with your family-in-law!
I'm glad you noticed before it was lost!
And I love your Grandmother's ring!

I'm leaving to go to my future in-laws' place for the holidays tomorrow, and the diamond in my ring is loose! I've had suspicions that it's been kind of loose for a little while, but I could never really tell. Well, today while getting ready I could definitely hear it clinking in the setting.
I'm too afraid to wear it anymore, especially since I'll be pulling gloves on and off and spending a lot of time out of the house (IL's house) for the next 10 days. I think I'm going to leave it at home :(
I called my jeweler, and he said since it's an old, ornate ring, they can't just tighten the setting, they'll have to remake some of the prongs, which they can't do in just one day. I'm wearing my great-grandmother's engagement ring as a stunt double until I can get mine fixed! (see below)
