Hi girls! I need creative ideas (cheap!) for decorating a wall of random sized cutouts that is in my venue. I am going for a vintage-glam feel and our colors are deep plum/eggplantish and mercury (darker then silver but lighter then pewter). I was origionally thinking of different sized baroque frames with black and white pictures of us, but I think that would be a bit pricy and I am on an extreamly tight budget. I attached a picture of the wall (the dj stuff won't be set up there)... ANY ideas would be helpful.Creative ideas? : wedding help ideas creative decorations baroque picture frames IMG 1082

Frames were my first thought when i saw the photo, they would look awesome. Do you have an IKEA nearby? I saw gorgeous golden baroque frames at my Ikea three days ago and they were really inexpensive. They are not listed on their website though, so it might be worth a visit. You could paint them with silver or eggplant spray paint.

Or how about some faux mercury glass candle holders or vases of different sizes and shapes? Something like this:

They are an easy DIY, here is a tutorial:

Also an idea for frames: THRIFT STORES!! I have found gorgeous frames for $1 or less each time. It might take a few trips to a few different stores, but I bet you could find them.

I would mix your ideas together-- the frames and vases-- to create a unique look.

I think the picture frames would look great but the cost can add up even for inexpensive frames.

    1. You could cut foamcore to the exact size of the opening and spary paint it the color of your choice. Spray glue the back of a copy of your favorite pics and center it on the foamcore. Slide it into the opning - push it right to the back.

    2. If you are allowed to use candles, you could place a votive candle  in each niche.

    3. You could use a simple vase with the same gorgeous flower in each niche.

@texmax:One thing I forgot to add, We aren't allowed to use candles because our ceremony/reception is on the roof of a hotel so it's a big liability. Thank you!

Definitely check out the thrift stores.  I bought a big frame for less than $5.  I'm just going to buy some spray paint and paint it in one of my wedding colors.  I plan on doing the same for smaller frames to put on the guest table!  I think you could totally pull it off if you're willing to do some digging around!
