My sister's friend who just got married has thank you postcards made with a picture from their wedding, which was cute. I've seen so many adorable ones of the bride and groom holding thank you signs or parasols with thank you printed on them, too.
I am also doing the thank you cards with me and FI holding Thank You notes. I think it's so cute!
Here's an expamlpe I found online. Hope it works.
Yay that was what i was thinking of! We did shutterfly collages, but i wish we'd had a thank you sign. another cute one i saw was the bride holding "Thank" and the groom holding "you" and they were being cute =]
Not the first one saying this but I love that holding a sign that says thank you idea.
I agree with everyone else! I think the "thank you" signs are adorable!
Friends of mine did a similar idea. They wrote "Gracias" in the sand while they were on their honeymoon in Costa Rica. The picture had them kissing in the background. I loved it!
Thanks for the ideas!
But my wedding has past already. So the thank you signs in the photos are too late for me to do.
I like the sand idea, that's still do-able.
Any other ideas?
Thanks, Bees!!
oh i have a cute thought, can you pile all of your gifts around you and then take a picture that looks like you're surrounded by them holding a sign that says thank you?
I love these ideas...i'm stealing them!! I love the HIVE, so much inspiration!!
I had a plaque made that has our last name and wedding date like this one:
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=26665506
This way everyone will remember the date and we will have it for our home.
Here's what we did with ours

I just finished ours, and this is how they came out. I made it on a power point presentation, saved it as a jpeg. and then uploaded it into shutterfly into the 3x5 template for one picture (I wanted smaller cards so I didn't have to write as much! We had a huge wedding...)
Another idea is to download picasa--google's free photoshopper, and there is a button where you can create collages. You pick the pictures you want, and from there you keep clicking different buttons to see various layouts for the collage. Sounds kindof confusing, but you'll get your pictures even and perfect each time.
Check it out! It's free!
I'm in love with the parasol idea right now!! I think it's so cute, and if you paint it yourself it can be really cheap. I did mine for $20! Just look on here for Mrs. Spring Roll's tutorial. That's what I followed and ordered my parasol from the link she gives. It turned out awesome =]
For Every gift we get we are taking a funny picture with the gift and sending it to the gift giver inside of a nice card.
@MzThrowBac2B: I love that.
To the OP: The pictures of the bride and groom holding "Thank You" signs is always super cute.
Another idea that's similar but different from a photo is a post card with several images on it (kind of like a collage but done on the computer) with a "Thank You" motif typed somewhere on it (or use a template with a nice "Thank You" image already in it and you just plug in your photos.) - I think there's a template for that sort of thing in Aperture on Apple computers?
(Hopefully that made sense - it was kind of hard to describe.)
we're doing a left turn with our thank you cards and are not putting any of our pre or even post wedding pictures on them. this is for the benefit of our guests that we've regularly fed with a diet of our pictures (save the dates, wedding website, wedding photobooth border, etc.). and to satisfy the penny-pincher in us, we got the free 5.47" x 4.21" postcards from vistaprint (100 pieces) to serve as the thank you card.
the front will have a pre-printed (what else?) "Thank You" text plus a QR code that will lead them to (where else) our wedding website where there will be MORE POST-WEDDING PICTURES (haha, there goes that diet). the back will be where we plan to put in our personalized message.
and here's the back:
We're going to take pictures on our wedding day, holding a thank you banner. Check Etsy, they have tons of Thank You props that are adorable!
We're thinking of including a magnet with a nice wedding photo of us. I think it's a nice touch and can serve as an anniversary reminder - it'll stay around longer than an STD magnet, I hope.

Hello,
Anyone have any creative ideas on what how to do the Thank you cards for after the wedding?
I was thinking of getting a photo of us from our photographer and printing a bunch of wallets to send out with the card. But it sounds boring. Any thoughts from the bees?
