My reception venue has brick walls, so the wiring isn’t built in, and is on the outside of the wall under plastic tube cover things. Here is an example showing some of the wiring I am talking about along with an outlet and a sign. Sorry it’s small, I had to crop a picture I found online from another wedding.
There are windows all down both sides of the room, so it is just strips around 3 feet wide in between the windows that I am wanting to cover.
I could do fabric draping, but I feel that it might be too much because we are going to have about 20 feet of fabric draping behind the head table to cover a stage that is behind it. I don’t want the entire room to be covered in fabric.
Does anyone have any creative ideas for wall coverings I could create? The venue is located in a park and we are having a bit of a nature/garden theme, so something nature inspired might be nice, but it doesn’t have to be. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What about room dividers, using those to block off the walls in between the windows? Or doing something like this along one whole wall?
You can find a ton of tutorials for how to do your own pipe and drape walls for pretty cheap, you could do that for on either side of a window, with photos of you and your FI growing up or family, etc.
Another idea which can come off as really nice or really retro, depending on how you decorate it, is lattice, you could score some and paint it white for a garden feel. It’s not going to fully cover the wall behind it, but once you have some lighting happening you won’t be able to see the wall as much.
I noticed you are in Ontario…not sure if you are close to a bigger city, but I would check out kijiji and craigslist and do some searches there for people selling off wedding decor, or even just look for the raw materials for cheap on there. I’m not too far from Toronto and I scour both sites almost daily just to get ideas for when the wedding is a bit closer, and I always see a ton of people selling off wedding stuff. Helpful for the diy bride. 🙂

possibly a garland type backdrop
You could do a ribbon wall in your colors
or a ribbon backdrop with pics

@jlc3: I like the photo idea! Not sure if I would be able to find enough photos to cover both sides of the hall with, but I guess I could always blow them up to take up more space. I thought of lattice too, but I’m worried it might look cheap, like when I’ve seen it in dated restaurants covered in fake vines. But I’m sure if it was done the right way it could look pretty. I’m just outside of Kitchener-Waterloo, I have looked at Kijiji a few times but haven’t seen much. Maybe if I start checking ever day I’ll find something though. Thanks!
@weddingbound: Thanks for all the ideas! Those flower garlands are super pretty. I might try to make some paper flowers and see whether it is too time consuming or not. Or maybe I could make leaves like in the second picture and do the whole thing out of those- they look easier to make. I think ribbon might be too expensive to cover the area I need, but I could probably get some cheap fabric and cut it up into strips for them same effect. Thanks again 🙂

You could also do twinkle lights or light curtains… gossamer w/ lights.
