I can’t watch truly scary movies. My favorite halloween movie is “Hocus Pocus” — awesome movie! Bette Midler & SJP! 🙂

I used to LOVE scary movies, and would watch every one possible.  As I’ve gotten older (I’m 28) I find myself not being as interested in getting scared.  Could be because on our honeymoon in Savannah, we went on a walking ghost tour, the day before Halloween and I seriously freaked out.  I couldn’t be alone in the dark for 3 months, and would have nightmares!  When my husband wasn’t home, I’d have to turn on the TV so I could hear it in the shower.

When I did watch scary movies, I loved the House on Haunted Hill, it was my favourite.  I don’t know if it was so much scary, as it was creepy.

I’m a scaredy cat… “Orphan”, “Signs” (another good one for you living near a corn field), and “The Ring” really freaked me out.  I wanted to see “Mama” and “The Conjouring”, but I haven’t brought myself to do it…

My FI and I love horror films, and they were one of the things that we first bonded over actually.
I’m going to add my +1 to The Shining, Children of the Corn, The Oprhan and House on Haunted Hil.

I always watch them but if I had to choose a few especially for Halloween, they would be Halloween (for obvious reasons – either the original or the Rob Zombie remake); Jeepers Creepers (especially creepy if you live near a corn field 😉 ); Insidious I and II; The Conjuring (can anyone tell that I’m a fan of James Wan?); and The Exorcist.

I really liked Coraline.  Don’t know if I would be bothered to watch it a 3rd time or not.  It depends on what’s available on Netflix!

We always watch scary movies (one of our favorite genres) but I’m really in the mood to watch The Omen.  I have the box set somewhere, just not quite sure where since we are still unpacking.

Dont really watch scary movies anymore because my SO is a scaredy cat when it comes to them. Lol

My faves are: 13 ghosts, the grudge (first one), the hille have eyes, 30 days of night, orphan, conjouring, insidious, and scream was a favorite as a kid. lol

I also have to mention my absolute favorite halloween movie is hocus pocus and I’ve seen it every halloween the past 20+ years…whenever it came out. I hope I can get my daughter into it as well.

Bridey77:  I think “The Gift” is the scariest movie I’ve ever seen!

Bridey77:  Ughhhh Pet Cemetery… So creepy. And Insidious, I can’t handle watching either of them.
