I want to purchase this baby right here http://www.cremedelamer.com/templates/products/sp_nonshaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY5778&PRODUCT_ID=PROD2459

but it is soooooooo expensive...$130 for 1oz, but I heard it's really good.  Just wanna see if any of the lovely ladies in here use this product.  I gotta make sure that it's reallyyyyyyy good before i invest...lol

A good friend uses only Creme de la Mer, and she was kind enough to share some sample sizes from a "gift with purchase."  Personally, I hated it -- much too thick, and it actually made me break out.  So, may depend on your skin (which is a little scary when you're spending so much).

Do you know about the product reviews on MakeupAlley?  Usually a great way to get a range of people's experiences with a product:  http://www.makeupalley.com

@mrsbee - just wondering, why did your derm advise against it?

Creme de La Mer actually has mineral oil, which is known to clog pores, as one of its ingredients.  If you have acne prone skin--proceed with caution.

I heard that most people hate it cause they don't know how to use it right.  This person told me that you're supposed to use very little, then rub it against your hands until it's transparent, then pat against your face.  Do not rub, but rather pat.  I guess I'm not gonna order it.  I'm gonna go look for something else.

Oh yeah Mrs Bee, I got the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer oil-free yesterday from sephora after reading your posts about it.  So far I love it.

I used to use it.  Not recommended unless you have dry skin.  They also make lotion that's less expensive and better for normal skin (vs. Dry); but if you have oily or combination, I don't recommend it.

1 oz. can actually last you a long time since you don't need to use much.  Just a dab, you put between two fingers, rub to warm, and pat on your skin!  I only used it on my temples, cheeks, and around the mouth where it felt dry against Toronto winter.  Stopped using when weather warmed up.

I'm a product junkie, and I have to say, I didn't think this was for my skin type.  I did not have a wow factor.  I do, however, love Mercier tinted moisturizer.  Can't live w/o it!

My mom loves it, but it makes me itchy. Not very helpful, eh? :p
