So, the date is set, the dress is bought! After trying on more than 60 dresses in 5 different bridal shops, I found the dress of my dreams. It is Ali by Augusta Jones and is absolutely breathtaking. Only thing – this is not the first dress I cried at.
You know, you hear that when you find “the one” you will just know? Well, I found more than just one that brought tears to my eyes. Was it because I am so happy to finally be tying the knot with my long-time love of 12 years? Maybe. Is it because the idea that I am going to be a bride makes me scared and happy all at the same time? Maybe. Either way, it feels good.
Has anyone else gotten teary-eyed over more than one wedding dress?

I agree with the PPs, I didn’t cry at all. I sort of wish I had, but I’m a ‘grinner’ instead, I just got that big huge smile and I knew it was mine. I’m sure the excitement and emotions involved got you crying over a few gowns, but your gown is GORGEOUS!

I didn’t cry when I picked the one. I did have teary eyes over the fact I like 2 dresses and didn’t know which one to pick. Eventually I let my dad and FI talked me into making the final decision. My mom wasn’t helpful because she likes both as well. 😛

ME! I cried 3 times. Once with a dress I knew I wouldn’t get but that just made me feel super bridal. A second time with a dress that made my mom cry. I cried b/c she cried. And finally when I found my dress but only after I put it on a second time.

That’s a beautiful dress! I love the top part! My wedding dress was the first dress I tried on. I got a little teary, I’ll admit!

I didn’t cry. I teared up a tiny bit, but I mostly had a big ol’ goofy grin.
Your dress is very pretty!

I’m not a cryer, but I had two “this is the one” experiences. The first time I think it was just because the dress was FINALLY something that both looked like something I had always envisioned myself getting and also looked good on me. It felt so good to wear it but when it came time to buy I just couldn’t do it. I was still unsure and felt that there were still other dresses I wanted to try on.
The second time, I absolutely knew it was the one because I didn’t want to try any other ones on. It felt so good I didn’t even want to take it off!
I agree with other people… I’m more of a grinner than a cryer 🙂
