I ended up falling in love with a dress only after 2 bridal appointments! I love my dress! Do you think it needs a mermaid crinoline slip? I’m thinking the extra volume at the bottom would amp this dress up a bit but on the flip side I don’t want it to take from the romantic style of the dress. I unfortunately could not try it on with one as Davids bridal had a really weird slip that had no stretch. It felt really uncomfortable. At another bridal appointment with Alfred Angelo they had an awesome mermaid crinoline. It was more like a body shaper that was really stretchy and figure flattering.
Here is my dress when I bought it. It still needs to be taken in on the sides and adjusted up top. Would you suggest a crinoline? Also any ideas on where I can find one similar to the slip Alfred Angelo had? They were selling it for $80

i’d get it on ebay! mine was about 12 dollars w/ shipping. i bought a mermaid hoop skirt to hold the tulle out so it wouldn’t get around my legs

Wow they didn’t have any slips that you could try on besides the weird one? They have a bunch of types available. My ballgown slip which was plus size cost me $80.
Otherwise, there’s always ebay and amazon, although you wouldn’t be able to try them on first.

I would check ebay also. I got my slip from a consignment shop for a couple bucks.

@jenilynevette I went on a weekend so it may have been that all the other slips were being used at the time.
I will check e-bay Thanks for the suggestions. I really hope I can find that body shaping style for much cheaper then $80.

Check online like Amazon.com, Ebay etc. Also the Bee might have some for sale in the classifieds.
