The title says it all- I’ve mashed a few ideas from invites I’ve found online together into my own version, and I’d like some feedback. The spacing is a little off b/c I had to take out names for privacy, but you can get the general idea. FI’s mom is folding us 1000 paper cranes, so I’m really excited to have them on the invite, since they’re going to be a big part of the reception decor. Our colors are purple and silver, and the vibe we’re going for is formal but fun. It’s fuzzy only because it’s a screenshot. Thoughts?

Typically the invitation is written in the third person, so It should be “Together with their parents” and “as they are united in marriage.” The word together is redundant because united already means together. You don’t need “in the afternoon” because no one will mistake it for 2am, but if you want to keep it neither the ‘o’, nor the ‘a’ on that line need to be capitalized.

I personally like the personal touch of using “we” and “us” versus the third person.
I really like it, but there is something about that fat purple font that rubs me the wrong way. Maybe if it wasn’t so fat, or so purple lol

Love! I agree that the wording is redundant, but I like your use of “we” versus third person.

I would also write out Saturday, the third of November if you’re going to write two o’clock in the afternoon.
