I worry that there are not sides– no salads or veggies.

Needs more veggies, maybe a salad station?

Is the drink price at the bottom in addition to the total for food?

@Chrysoberyl:  That looks SO incredible! I would pretty much die to shove my face into that menu right now.

The only thing is that you have to rent your own plates/stemware/flatware/etc.

But I bet it’s worth it!

We’re paying 4,300 for 140 guests

I think the price is quite reasonable but I also feel that it is slightly lacking on veggies/salad.

Averaging at roughly $29 per person I don’t think that is bad at all not including the drinks anyway especially for the amount of food. Not sure what GA rates are though.

@Chrysoberyl:  We paid $1600 for 42 guests, and got pretty standard food. We also had a luncheon, so the food was 1/2 off the dinner price.

I think that’s a great deal for what you’re getting! It’s VERY heavy apps, which is my favorite kind of wedding!

I’d say the price is about average.  I’m in the middle of getting proposals from Savannah caterers.  I’m not a fan of the menu though, pretty random.

@Chrysoberyl:  i agree with pp regarding lack of veggies/salad.  i think the menu looks delicious though.

you said that you wanted heavy on the appetizers.  is this going to be a cocktail reception with station to eat when guests want with no set tables to sit at?  what style of wedding are you looking for?

have you looked into the price for rentals?  linens, plates, stemware, cutlery?  you need to add that into the cost to see if it’s really a good deal.

We’re paying $22.50 per person for very heavy fingerfood – ie. enough to feed everyone enough to completely fill them up. We’re also having our own cake and using that as dessert though.

So I suppose $29pp isn’t too bad; surprising that you dont even get real crockery though, plastic? really?

If your not set on a pasta bar why not ask them to switch that for a veggie/salad station instead? Especially if $1 is all you get for getting rid of it!
