I like it but it looks like the closing is off center or December 2013 is off center?

Call me old-fashioned but I really don’t get the need to send out pregnancy announcements. It seems like you are giving people advance notice to start shopping.

Can you not just share the information by word of mouth as you see people or communiacte with them?

@Mrs. Gremmlin:  The image on the right side is causing the “center” to be off. Depending on what software you’re using, you should be able to send the image to the background so the text will be centered.

Aww I don’t think it seems like you’re giving people advance notice to start shopping. I think it seems like you are having a huge event happening in your life and you want to share the news!

I think the announcement is cute, but i’m not loving the font. Something with a little more substance to it would look a bit better, I think. More scrolly, perhaps? Also, if you put a question mark after “pink”, you can delete the bottom text, and the whole front will feel much cleaner and more modern. The bottom text is really competeing with the two of you/the bears.

It’s cute; I just wouldn’t say “sincerely.” That seems a bit stiff for a pregnancy announcement. How about love? Or anything more friendly?

I’ve never heard of mailing out a pregnancy announcement either, I’ve only ever had phone calls, in person convos, texts, and facebook announcements.  I would maybe wait and if you really want to mail something, make this a gender reveal instead of an announcement.  That way when they open the card after the front image it could show what the gender is.

@julies1949:  This. I’m sorry, but I don’t understand pregnancy announcements; what’s wrong with just letting people know in passing/when you see them/speak to them/email them? I dunno, I just don’t really see the need for sending out a card, and if I got one, I’d probably think they were giving me notice so I could buy a gift, which I’d find a bit off.

@stillme:  Agree on the “sincerely”.  If you’re a close enough friend to receive one of these, it sounds a little formal to me.

Yeah I don’t get the formal announcements either.  When I was pregnant we just told everyone when we saw them … .
