i think they’re really cute!

i would make the “save the date” larger, though.

and at first glance i wasn’t bothered by your font. but i then read your post and saw that you’re unsure. now i’m also unsure, haha. but i’m not one of those font people so i have no recommendations for you!

Yes, larger and maybe angle the Save the Date? Make it more of a focal point?

Ra-cha-cha, nice!!! Are you going to have garbage plates at your wedding?!!!

love them! We’re getting married in Syracuse. I do agree about having garabage plates at the wedding 🙂

I would definitely work on the fonts. I’d probably pick two fonts. Once for the Save the Date wording that is a little more bold and possibly with some flourish/script to it, and one for your names and the info. I like Dafont.com for fonts or Fontspace.com. You can type in your own text and see how it will look in the fonts they have.

I’d make it all bigger. Take up as much of the card as you can. With the shape of NY, I wonder if going landscape might not be better than portrait. Don’t be afraid to go off the edge of the card a little bit with the bottom of the state if you need to.

How’s your resolution/quality? It looks grainy here, but I know sometimes things just don’t save well as JPGs. How did you make the heart? I feel like the shape could be a little differently proportioned, but I feel like making everything bigger might also help with that.

How are you having them printed?

I like your colors 🙂 Here are mine that had a very similar design idea! I had more info on the back side.

@Almost Mrs.P:  I’ve heard great things about CatPrint! Do they allow you to send in a Publisher file? Most sites I’ve seen require PDF or JPG, so I just want to bring that to your attention so you can make sure your computer is saving the JPG nicely. I do sort of half-azzed graphic design as a portion of my job (aka I’m not trained, but I’ve had to figure stuff out as I go along), so I’ve learned those lessons the hard way.

I’m trying to remember what font I used on these STDs… I think the STD wording is in Bebas Neue, and the other font is Gotham.

On my invitations, I used Alex’s Hand, Great Vibes, and Gotham.

Lobster was another one I really liked, but not in all caps.

What is the feel you are going for with your wedding? Romantic? Modern? Fancy? Fun? Fonts can really help give that impression.

@Almost Mrs.P:  I designed in Photoshop, so it’s a stamp. Sorry!

You may be able to manipulate the fill color in paint and then re-save and put it in Publisher.

Nice! I like the tweaks!!

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but will everyone who is getting a Save the Date know who it is without your last names on there? Or will your last names be on the envelope or something? I ask because I had some people I sent to (parents’ friends and very extended family) who probably wouldn’t have recognized it without our last names.

They can always go to the website though 🙂 But something to think about.
