The B will be in a computer font? I think it would be great in the same font as your names are. I think they look great. Maybe not cut the band in half but maybe keep 2/3 of it but if you do that you might want to make the squares smaller. I did the same thing with mine and toyed with it a few times.

IMO it’s a bit busy with too many distracting enclosures. Hotel instructions etc. aren’t really supposed to be  sent with the invitation. I would do a separate mailing or a link to the website or both.

The design itself isn’t too blah at all.  It’s simple and understated, which is traditional.

BlueRC:  Personally, I would not include the hotel instructions.  I would send that along later in a more informal correspondence or include a link on the invitation to the website.

I don’t think the squiggles add anything…they look more like an afterthought, and on the main invitation they’re too large/busy.

If you removed them, they’d be really classic and clean.

Is the purple paper with dots part of the invitation? Not sure if that’s just what you rested the invitation on or if it’s a seperate piece. The fancy scroll work and the polka dots don’t really jive together for me.

*eta- sorry, just read through your post. ignore what I said about the dots

I’m not a fan of all the wording being in CAPS.  But otherwise, I like how clean and plain they are and I like the colours.  Less is often more.

I think they look awesome.  The caps give it a nice formal feel and all the information is right there at your guests’ fingertips.  Not everyone visits wedding webistes so having it their and handy for those guests is great.  I also think the swirls are beautiful.  You did a great job!

I think they look nice, and I like how you have nested the information cards. My only thought is that it might be nice for the insert cards to only show the title of each card when they are all in the pocket, rather than the title and some of the text on the card.

I think they look nice but I’m not a fan of the swirls, it makes them look dated from the 90’s.  They’d be a lot more clean and classic without them.

BlueRC:  I think they look nice! I agree with PP that the ALL CAPS portion is a bit strange (there’s a nice font that is all caps, but doesn’t look as angry as your font, I wish I remembered what it was called). I guess I’m in the minority – I like the swirls, and I’ve seen professional invites with them. *shrug*

I think you should include the info paper like you have. I’ve seen that before and I don’t know why PP have said to not to. But I think that you should have only the titles show, and perhaps have more of that lovely purple show instead of so much white.

On the actual ‘invite’ – I would make your names bigger. Play with font sizes! That will increase visual interest and give it a bit more pop. I also think there’s a ton of silver by using silver paper and a silver font color. It almost blends into the white paper.

BlueRC:  I remember when you first started designing your invites! I Like the invitation part I think that came together well. I love the color scheme!

The insterts are what’s getting me. I’m not sure if it’s the sizing or what.

I generally really like the look when you put the RSVP car in the pocket with the flap of the envelop showing. Then have the Reception and Information cards peeking out from behind and above that. I would suggest taking the swirl and maybe adding it just as a closing graphic on the insert cards then maybe doing a purple bar with the words Info, Reception and RSVP to make them stand out?

Hope that all makes sense let me know if you need a visual 🙂
