Hi Bees! Looking for examples of your Croatian honeymoon and the cost for approximately two weeks (12 nights). Would love to get a range of what people spent!
We’re thinking of splitting our trip up 3 nights in Italy and 9 in Croatia if anyone has done something similar.

I’m no help with cost as I was there as part of a study abroad program but just wanted to pop in to say Croatia is gorgeous & you won’t regret it! It’s also cheaper than most of Europe as I believe it still isn’t on the Euro. What cities were you planning on visiting??? I was in Zagreb and Zadar and loved both for different reasons

Croatia will can be as budget or as luxurious as you’d like! My boyfriend’s family is from there and his parents live there now, so we’re there quite a bit… When we were there in June we went out to dinner and met a couple on their honey moon..they picked 1 city to do ‘honeymoon’ type accomodation (so a nice hotel) and for the rest of the cities they stayed at private apartments which is pretty much the norm there. They rented a car and drove from Zagreb down to Dubrovnik.
I’ve only been in the southern part of the country, around Dubrovnik, and I can highly recommend it. Dubrovnik in itself is an beautiful old city, and there are several near by islands that are worth visitng, including one with a sand beach. Cavtat is a bit south of Dubrovnik and is also very nice.
If you or your fiance knows how to drive a boat, I definately recommend renting one for a day or 2… send me a message if you’re interested int hat and I can give you some contact info to the guy we rent from. He also has jetskis, which is a fun way to zip up and down that part of the coast 🙂

@mixtaperomance: Thanks! Its always nice to get reassured that it’s a good honeymoon choice.
@kristinspeed: definitely interested in your contact! It’s always better to get reccomendations here than try and figure it out once we get there. 🙂
I think over-all we want to do mostly 4 start hotels and than maybe a couple nights in a 5star. I looked at prices with travel angencies and it is approx 6k per person for 12 nights italy to crotia. I think this includes airefare. Didn’t know if we booked on our own if we can have a similar trip, but at a lower cost.
