@sehrler:  I learned how to crochet when I was much much younger, but I’ve lost touch with my crocheting side! You’ve done a fabulous job though! πŸ™‚ (PS I miss you on MFP!)

I do! I tried learning when I was younger from my mother and aunts, but couldn’t quite pick it up until years later on my own. It helped get me through some pretty tough times in life. I currently have three blankets that I have started and have not finished… maybe one dayUndecided

I just taught myself within the last year. I love it, it’s pretty relaxing once I get the hang of it.

I started a few years ago during my undergrad while I was working at a call center, but I don’t do as much now. I just made a blanket for my cousin who’s having a baby next month, and I’ve started a whole bunch of little things now that we have a little one of our own on the way. πŸ˜€  DH wants me to make a Yoda hat for when he/she comes home from the hospital. This is the blanket I just finished for my cousin’s daughter.

@bunnymama:  Awesome, are you able to link me to a pattern?

A baby blanket and a full size afghan I’m working on for a friend and for my MIL’s wedding. The brown one is twice as wide now and it’s going to be 6 rows across.

This was my favorite project. I bought the pattern off of Etsy. I have a friend named Tara who was always called pteradactyl. When she had a son, shwad rearmed of a stuffed one – so I made it! Complete with diaper and pacifier πŸ™‚

Love this thread!!! So many awesome projects here! And I admit to spending far too much time on Ravelry to fuel the addiction. I started crocheting at 16. Picked it up again in my 20s, and started knitting about 5 years ago. This fall I also started spinning yarn. It’s my favorite hobby. Since moving to our new home, I haven’t had any time to really knit/crochet/spin. But as soon as the chaos dies down, that’s where I’ll be at!
