Weddingbee boards

My Mother-in-Law is making us a Crocheted Bedspread. I kinda of don't want it. I think they are old fashioned kinda Grandma-ish. Not really my style, I love love my yellow floral Thomasville Comforter and plaid bedskirt with my Cherry 4-poster Rice Bed. I do like traditional stuff.  It will be all beige and the worst thing is we are stuck with beige walls. I don't know what to do. I can't remember the pattern I picked out, she showed me a few and even made trial squares, so that I could pick better, so I can't tell her now that I don't want it and my husband really wants it. I might be able to change the pattern still. Does any body have any good sources for patterns or had something like this made for them that they like. Suggestion please or comiseration welcome.
