I love to eat ice cream year round (And I live in Michigan where it gets frigid in November). If temps in your area are still warm enough to have a wedding outside in November I think you will be fine. It's a novelty that most weddings don't have so I'm sure a lot of people will jump on it when they see you offering it.
It'll be in a covered 'barn' area that will have plenty of heaters...and the past weddings I've seen there the guests have been able to wear shawls/cardigans and seem like they're not freezing. :)
Ice cream is (or should be) and all year around event. I think the novelty of what you're doing will override any of those ice cream-only-when-it's-hot types.
Glad to hear that. I'm seriously a freak when it comes to ice cream, so I was worried foks would think I'm crazy.
We got the ice cream truck!!!! I can't wait! It's going to be awesome! I can't wait until the tasting!

So the plan WAS that my mom and I were going to make three different types of mini desserts for our 100+ guest wedding. While I know we could do it, we realized that with the cost and time involved, it would cost around the same to hire a dessert caterer (our venue includes food, but not dessert). So I went looking today and immediately knew I wanted ice cream...I eat at least one bowl a day and am a huge ice cream fanatic. I also work at a farmer's market, and one of my fellow vendors is an ice cream truck! I contacted them, and not only did they say they're available, but they're also UNDER budget. Wooo! I'm so excited. Not only do me and my mom get to relax the day before, but we will save money too.
Two of my concerns right now, they're being featured in a huge wedding show tomorrow in Atlanta, so I'm anxious to get signed and under contract tonight before anyone else snags them up. And second, our outdoor wedding is on November 5th. I'm a little worried that ice cream might seem out of place. I personally eat ice cream year round, but does everyone else?
