Just a thought but MAYBE if you leave another room or so without it wouldn't be so random. I think it would be fine with just the one room without, but just a thought =)
We have crown moulding in every room but one! It took me a while to realize it too. I think it'll be fine. Maybe you can put a chair rail in the living room to jazz it up.

I love the look of crown moulding and would love to put it in my house....but....
The family room is an add-on with a sloping roof. Not a major slope, but a slope nonetheless. My thought is that I'd be able to do crown moulding in every room.....except that one. Would that look weird? Is it dumb that I'm even asking?
