    Hey Bees,

Just a quick question.Fiance and I are still deciding on where to have our wedding. We both want a beach ceremony but due to the weather on the east coast in November we are a little hesistant. We have been looking into Carnival Cruises Destination weddings. We like the idea of a tropical wedding in Jamaica while in port at Ochos Rios.Their prices for basic ceremony start at $1200.

I have two questions. Its $1100 to much so spend for a 5 day cruise to the Carribean all inlcusive? That is for 2 people btw. I figured most people would be paying as a couple. And second has anyone heard of Carnivals weddings or Princess Cruise line weddings? Good or Bad?

1100 for two people is very reasonable for two people. It will depend on your guests budget though. But I just booked our honeymoon cruise and it was around 1100 EACH.

check out www.cruisecritic.com.  you can find out reviews for all the different cruises and I believe they also have a cruise wedding/honeymoon section.  The other thing to find out is does your cruise outsource your wedding.  After reading reviews and cruise boards I found out a lot of them outsource to a company called The Wedding Experience.  I'm almost positive Carnival does this.  I found a TON of negative reviews for the company and decided to go with a planner based on the island I'm getting married instead.(I'm having a small destination ceremony in the Bahamas).  I suggest looking over cruise critic and other destination wedding forums to hear what other brides have to say about Carnival and Princess, just remember its possible to do it without actually going through the cruiseline.

We are getting married in January 2011 in Cayman Islands. We're going on Carnival Valor. Don't forget that cruises don't include drinks, just food. $550 is a good price though. The good thing with Carnival is that its only a $25 deposit due and then, for us, our next deposit of $250 a person is due in August and the balance is due in the end of October.
