I like the idea of getting married at port, that way you can have guests come to the wedding and not have to stay for the cruise if they don't want to. I wouldn't worry too much about feeling sea sick, because the ships are so huge that you probably won't feel a thing. I've been on several cruises and never had any problems. You can bring some motion sickness pills along just in case.
For most (except Princess and one other) you get married on the ship in port. I looked into this, and had decided to do it, when I realized that it was just not me. I always pictured us getting married on the beach.
However, there is a lot of info out there, but what I found.
Prices, lowest: Cosata and then Carnival.
go to www.cruisecritic.com and click on boards, then honeymoon/wedding- tons of reviews and just as helpful girls as on here.
Most people do not get sea sick on cruises, it is a small minority- prolly wouldn't happen. But get Bonnee and some wrist straps and it should be ok.
And I would sugget getting married in port so people who can't afford the cruise can also attend your wedding. Most often you can have 50 non-sailing guests, but lots more sailing guests.
I have info for carnival weddings if you pm me.

Anyone planning on doing this? My fear is that I would get sea sick. I have never been on a cruise and I would love to go on one but not knowing what to expect is a little scary esp. for something like a wedding. I like the idea that guests would have lots to occupy themselves with on the cruise and it's like honeymoon and wedding altogether as one.
Would you get married ON the ship or at a port?
